End of the Year – Student Discipline Reports

December 22, 2011, Voices of Youth in Chicago Education (“VOYCE”) and the Advancement Project requested, under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, Illinois school district discipline data (ie, suspensions, expulsions, arrests, etc.) disaggregated by race, gender, SES, disability, grade level, and etc. The Illinois State Board of Education (“ISBE”) responded December 30, 2011 and again on January 19, 2012 and the annual district end of the year discipline reports are posted on the ISBE website for years 2009 , 2010 , and 2011 .

Crime Incidents at Chicago Public School Locations

The City of Chicago Data Portal has a dataset of reported incidents of crime that occurred in Chicago from 2001 to the present. Data is also available to view by individual calendar year.

Here is a link to map and table views of Chicago crime incidents with locations “SCHOOL, PUBLIC, BUILDING” and “SCHOOL, PUBLIC, GROUNDS.”
