2012-2014 Chicago Local School Council Election

A list of 2012-2014 Chicago Local School Council election candidates is available from Mike Fourcher of the Center Square Journal via google docs here.

The Chicago Public Schools LSC Elections will take place on April 18th (elementary schools) and April 19th (high schools). Check the Chicago Public Schools website for all the details: http://www.cps.edu/Pages/LSCElections.aspx

Chicago Public Schools Local School Council Advisory Board 2011-2012 Meeting Schedule

Regular LSCAB meetings will be held on Mondays from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm on the following dates:

June 11, 2012

Except for December (Winter Break December 19 – 31), January, February, and June (Summer School start June 18th), meetings will be held on the third Monday of every month.

Family and Community Engagement

The Chicago Public Schools Family and Community Engagement (“FACE”) office has a webpage that includes links to Community Action Council (“CAC”) member lists, community dialog reports, and a description of its strategic educational planning process.

Currently, there are five CPS CACs – Austin, Bronzeville, Englewood, Humboldt Park (Orr), Humboldt Park (Clemente) covering the following schools:

Austin CAC:
