with one comment

A list of 2012-2014 Chicago Local School Council election candidates is available from Mike Fourcher of the Center Square Journal via google docs here.

The Chicago Public Schools LSC Elections will take place on April 18th (elementary schools) and April 19th (high schools). Check the Chicago Public Schools website for all the details: http://www.cps.edu/Pages/LSCElections.aspx

Update (4/17/12):
The Chicago Public Schools has finally posted a list of LSC candidates.
See the searchable map “Who is Running for My Local School Council?” at
http://cps.edu/Pages/LSC_Map.aspx

Access the CPS data, too, at
https://www.google.com/fusiontables/DataSource?snapid=S454235MvE3

The next challenge will be to get CPS to post the school-by-school LSC Election results.

  1. Yes, it would be nice if they did. But there is a strong incentive not to: CPS election judges invalidate a high percentage of the votes in the elections because they are incorrectly applying the Election Code, which exempts LSC elections from its authority, to the paper ballots used in LSC elections.
