FY 2012 Budget Hearings
11-0727-CO2 Communication Re: Filing of 2011-2012 Proposed Budget
The public will have just 5 days to review a copy of the proposed FY2010 budget document prior to the first budget hearing scheduled for Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Lane Tech. The other budget hearings will follow on Thursday, August 11, and Friday, August 12 at Westinghouse HS and Simeon HS, respectively.

Title 1 Comparability errors.
11-0727-FN2 – Authorize Payment To Illinois State Board Of Education
CPS must pay back the federal government $1.2 million for failing to adhere to Title 1, Part A comparability requirements in FY2005-2007.   [Access audit here.]

11-0727-ED1 Report On Student Expulsions For June 2011
Six children were expelled in June. Between August 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011, a total of 388 children were expelled. Last year at this time, 474 children had been expelled from school.

11-0727-PR1 Report on Emergency Expenditures
$234,673.24 was spent for evacuation chairs for 33 schools where 83 students did not previously have access.

11-0727-PR18 Amend Board Report 10-0224-PR16 Ratify Entering Into An Intergovernmental Agreement With Chicago Police Department For School Patrol Services
Increases the amount up to a possible $102.8 million for the CPD for the period from January 2009 through December 31, 2012. CPS is credited $17.8 million. CPS will set aside $26.3M for the CPD in FY2012.

11-0727-EX1 Transfer of Funds
About $36.3 million in funds, most of which was previously set aside for teacher salaries, are transferred “to pay for the Chicago Police Department’s $46.3M in FY2011.”
